The idea of this exhibit is to teach visitors animation fundamentals in a fun and interactive way. I worked on the software that ran the exhibits. See the video to the left for an overview of them, recorded by the local news team. Completed the project in 2018!
Planning the Action
This exhibit allows people to create their own animated .gifs using their bodies. The camera takes photos at a certain interval allowing visitors to post and create little animation snippets that play back for you. See the video to get an idea of how it works!
The Stop Motion exhibit teaches the fundamentals of stop motion by allowing visitors to arrange objects in front of a camera and capturing the still. The player can play, pause and erase images. See the video above!
This project was commissioned by the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI). I worked on it throughout 2018. For this contract I created the base animation template to be used by all the exhibits and also the complete Stop Motion and Planning the Action exhibits.
